Pascale Dequen-O’Byrne MSc, PhD

Associate Director, HTA and Communications


Originally trained in economics, Pascale brings 15 years of experience working in HTA and decision modelling in both analytical and managerial roles for consultancy and the medical device industry. Prior to joining Visible Analytics, Pascale was part of the Biostatistics Research Group at the University of Leicester where she pursued her doctoral research as an NIHR fellow.

Pascale has supported market access and evidence generation strategies (including real-world evidence activities), submissions to HTA agencies/payers, HTA policy and primary research. She has led both rapid and large-scale projects, being the key point of contact for clients, successfully managing multiple projects and delivering projects to expected quality, timelines, and budget (including HTA submissions to NICE, SMC, NCPE). Her past projects include systematic literature reviews, feasibility assessments and evidence synthesis, retrospective case studies, data simulation and statistical modelling. She has also developed and adapted several cost-effectiveness and budget impact models for different countries.

Pascale has collaborated on large-scale initiatives such as the IMI GetReal project and supported research commissioned by EFPIA, Eucomed, and the WHO. She has presented her work in the UK and at international conferences, such as International Society of Pharmacoeconomics and Outcomes Research (ISPOR) and HTAi, and has co-authored several peer-reviewed publications. She is a member of ISPOR and ESMO.

Pascale holds a PhD in biostatistics (University of Leicester), Master’s degree in International Health Policy and Health Economics (London School of Economics), and a Bachelor of Arts degree in Economics and International Development (McGill University, Canada).
